Summary: In order to access our Development Virtual Machine, there is a bit of configuration that needs to be done.
1. User Account created on the Development Machine for each individual user.
-Note: This setup should be done by the RPA Team.
2. IP Address of the user needs to be whitelisted in Azure Portal to enable access.
-Note: Your IP Address can change, depending on what WiFi network you are connected to, and what internet provider you are using. If you cannot access the Virtual Machine with your credentials, you may need to have your new IP Address whitelisted. See below for "Whitelist my IP".
How to Access Virtual Machine?
To access the virtual machine, open "Remote Desktop Connection".
1. Enter in Computer: Provided with credentials
2. Enter in the User Name assigned to you.
3. Enter in the Password assigned to you.
4. Click Connect.
How to Whitelist my IP
Sometimes your IP Address will change depending on what WiFi network you are connected to, or based on your internet provider.
1. To see what your IP Address is, go to Google and enter "What is my IP".
2. Provide this IP to the AY RPA Team, if they are available (CST Time Zone).
3. If the RPA Team is not available (outside CST Time Zone), a ticket can be opened with MyIT. To open a ticket with MyIT, please follow the below instructions, for MyIT to whitelist your IP.
-Send email to myit@avisonyoung.com
-Include in the Subject and Body - "Route the ticket to Wintel-India team"
-Include in the Body - Your IP Address from google search above
-Include in the Body - Virtual Machine - ay-robot-rds01
Note: The above team has the ability to Whitelist IP addresses on the Virtual Machine, and can provide the required access.
